Search "Paterno" on twitter and you'll see a lot of posts in the past couple of hours saying he's gravely ill, been given his last rites, extended family is all going to the hospital. Doesn't look good for him.

As someone who has lost a family member after they took him off a respirator, I can say that it's peaceful for the dying person but the waiting and listening is terrible on everyone else. I feel awful for his family.

Regardless of how it went down, JoePa will be one of the greatest figures ever in sports.

Hitler also was Time man of the year.

Hitler was responsible for the deaths of millions of Jews, Poles, and people of other "impure" races. Joe Paterno failed to report a case of sexual abuse up the chain in the proper fashion.

Yup, those seem about equivalent to me... :err:

Spoken by someone who has probably never lost a family member.

The man clearly made mistakes in his life. Big ones. Doesn't mean I wish death upon them. Really feel for his family.

Funny you should say that, I have- but I havent said I wish death upon anyone, I am just not mourning the loss of someone. And kind of trolling those who like him.

Society makes me sick. Not just for what Joe Pa did or didn't do, but also for the way some people respond and treat others.

Grow the **** up.

But you're saying neither should their family mourn for their loss, nor should we feel for them?

I don't exactly mourn his loss either. Likely would not have done so had the Sandusky thing never happened as well. But I do feel for his family.

This.

I feel for those that had no involvement at all and the **** they've had to endure over the last couple of months.
