I don't know what inspired me to post this, but he is just a fun sideline guy. Did you see him get lit up by the CU Buff handler? That was just priceless. He was calling for a flag, but that was just a clean *** hit. Love the guy and wish he did every ISU game.

Agreed. I've always liked him. He seems to genuinely enjoy his job. I'll have to go back and check but I'm pretty sure he was the sideline guy for "The Run" game against TTech back in '02. Our tv coverage sucks, but we do have the good fortune of getting some great sideline personalities.

On a sidenote, that seemed like kind of a ***** move by that handler. Not much reason to hipcheck a guy like that. Of course, I'd expect nothing less of one of those hippies.

Jim Knox seems like he's just a great guy. He clearly loves his job and I think he really just enjoys getting to be on the sidelines and get to do all the extra stuff. When he was here a few weeks ago (NIU game), I believe he went crowd surfing in the student section...

Here's a pic of Knoxy from this year's ISU game vs. Northern Illinois. He was having a great time with the people just down from us. He was wearing an ISU hard hat and sitting in a chair and they kept lifting him up and down.
