I was just going to say. You can't bring up Jakolby without bringing up that time he went toe-to-toe with Malik Monk haha

Jakolby went up against Malik Monk and allowed him to live.

Don't you mean Malik Monk went up against Jakolby Long and was allowed to live...?

Monk is going to crush it in the NBA, further inflating Jakolby's legend.

I remember thinking in January when he had seen the floor in less than 7 games if he had an injury they may pull the plug on his season. Surprised now that they didn't.

Monk did put up like 50 to Jakolby's 30 that game. 30 ain't bad though.

Could they go back and ask for a medical redshirt, then?

I've heard the hitch Jakolby developed in his shot was 100% because of the bone spurs in his shooting shoulder. The word is that he has eliminated the hitch and he's already back in the gym so he's recovered from the surgery nicely. He is playing in the CCL for those interested.

Don't write Jakolby off because of last year. He wasn't healthy and he was behind a bunch of veteran guards. He was a 4-star for a reason, I think he can get minutes this year.

Good to hear, I thought that may have caused the little hitch/delay in his release the few times he shot in game when I saw the shoulder surgery announcement.

If you look at his high school mix tapes the hitch wasn't there in his release. He had a normal looking smooth stroke, great news for him and the program if it has already been corrected by the procedure and he's been medically cleared to be putting up shots.

I don't know. The front court of Tinsley, Horton and Nurse with Hawkins coming in off the bench had to give them a run for their money.

Can't tell if you're making fun of him or you're both saying frontcourt instead of backcourt.

I screw that up sometimes. I still have to use my hands sometimes to make the "L" to figure out which direction is left from right. We all do silly things like that.

I always try to remind myself, "Front and back from the perspective of one looking out from under the basket," but sometimes I revert to a point guard's view. Oops.

The suggestion of the Tinsley-era guard court (see? don't have to worry about messing that one up anymore :p) as an alternative is a pretty good one, though. They would obviously thrive in the more grind it style of the 1990s compared to the spacing era of today.

Not making fun of him. I just didn't even think about it and propagated his mistake, making it my own.

    :D

That hitch was nasty. It hurt to watch.
