I think I read somewhere or heard that we won't be changing sidelines. The cold weather thing makes sense, as does having our side opposite the press box.
Also, you'll notice that visiting teams at Jack Trice and at pretty much any stadium, the team on the press box sideline will stack players behind the benches when coaches are drawing on whiteboards to show players something. The extra players block the line of sight from coaches in the press box with binoculars who may be trying to get an edge. Some teams even go so far as to turn their benches around, allowing the coach to stand w/ his back to the press box and the players face him.
If you want a weird set-up, head on down to Oklahoma State. The field runs East-West and the visitors are on the North sideline.
