Why is it taking so long for all the times to be announced? All the mbb games have a time by now.

Anyone who's been going to games for more than a few years can just about guess the rest of the home start times at this point.

*UW-River Falls (exhibition): 6:30, since that's the default time for mid-week home games.
*Omaha: day game, because (a) MBB plays that night and (b) WBB still insists on doing one of those mid-day, mid-week games every year.
*South Dakota State: 6:30 (default time)
*Southern: noon, since MBB is at 5:00.
*Longwood: noon, since WR is at 6:00.
*Iowa: 6:00 (already set)
*UNI: 5:00, since MBB is at noon.
*Prairie View: 5:00, since MBB is at noon.
*West Virginia: 3:00 (already set)
*TCU: 1:00, so fans can get home to watch MBB at 5:00.
*Texas: 6:30 (default time)
*Kansas: 6:30 (default time)
*Kansas State: 6:30 (default time)
*Oklahoma State: 5:00/6:00, since WR is at noon.
*Oklahoma: 6:00/7:00, since MBB is at 1:00.
*Texas Tech: 4:00/5:00, to avoid the MBB road game at 1:00.
*Baylor: 6:00 (already set)

Anyone know if the exhibition will be on ESPN+ ? Nothing listed that I see and we didn't have exhibitions last year. IIRC the semi-exhibition with woeful Omaha in 2020 was ESPN+

I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure they have been on cyclones.tv in the past, so there's no reason they wouldn't be on ESPN+.

Hey, Clone fans. USD Coyote fan, here. Just came on here to mention that this year's "secret scrimmage" for ISU was/will be South Dakota (at least that is what I'm hearing). Apologies if you already knew that, and I just missed a thread somewhere. I assume it might have happened this past weekend?

Anyway, I don't know much else, but I'll let you know if I do hear more. Thanks.

The first exhibition game at Waco was Oct. 27 with TX A&M Commerce. It was not on ESPN+. Neither was it on the local radio station. There was some unheard of streaming site that offered a verbal version through the University website that only worked half the time I am told.

It was South Dakota yesterday at the Sukup. That's all I know.

Gophers exhibition yesterday was on Big 10+. Undecided whether to subscribe to the Gophers only team version. Could be a repeat of last year. Already three gals in street clothes for that scrimmage.

I heard through the grapevine that SD won the scrimmage by double digits

It's hilarious when these scrimmages are reported as "won" or "lost" -- both MBB and WBB.

Most of the time, they aren't even playing a full game using actual game rules.

Before I choke or laugh I’d need confirmation.
Source is the relative of a player.

South Dakota finished last season with a #35 NET rating (ISU was #25). Everyone who averaged at least 1.5 PPG returned. This would not shock me.
Same. SD returns a very strong team, and their best player happens to play the 5, which is the exact position where ISU is gonna need some time to adjust to Scott's departure.

We've lost to both South Dakota and South Dakota State in the last three years. They aren't Omaha bad, they are good Summit League teams both getting votes in pre-season.

I'm sure Fennelly had some idea that the scrimmage would be tough, or he wouldn't have invited them. That's the purpose of these, anyway. To expose weaknesses and work out kinks. So he got what he was looking for. Both programs are benefiting from it, I'd say.

Good luck this year! Beat the Hawkeyes and Longhorns (and why not add Baylor?) like redheaded stepchildren. We'll try to do our part against Oklahoma next week...
