Once that game was over one of the first thoughts in my head was "We're gonna win an ESPY!"

Pretty cool how the pictures are black and white until you put your cursor over them. Let's get this ESPY!

I honestly think this one is in the bank for us....look at the other nominees...I don't feel they are as big of upsets...and the "drama" factor is hard to match with our win and the shots of the crowd, CPR, etc.

Talk about cool exposure...if we win to have CPR give a mini-speech at the award and some great national recognition.

Vote early and often...but not illegally. :twitcy:

Would CPR actually go to the awards? I get that it would be good exposure, but I'm sure they dont really view it as an upset. What would he say? Im shocked we won this, our guys sucked.

Nothing is in the bank yet - back to voting!!!!!

Agreed, not in the bank....but a pretty visible victory that the nation saw (and they love upsets like that to the BCS, etc).

I already am excited to see the little "nominee montage" they'll throw together the night of the show...picture the wheel route, Knott tipping the ball with Benton snagging the ball, then Woody bowling balling it play after play, crowd coming onto the field, CPR going nuts, Tiller dousing him with a bottle of Gatorade, etc.

I think he'd go...who else would claim it for us? And you know CPR, he'd use it as a time to talk about believing in the program, our players, etc. I also think he may even say "we never saw ourselves as underdogs, etc"

I think it will be between ISU v OSU and the Missouri game. I actually think that Norfolk State was the biggest upset of the year. Although OSU was rated 2. ISU was at home and the drop off from OSU to ISU is not as big as Missouri to Norfolk State.

That is just crazy. Although OSU was rated 2. ISU was at home and the drop off from OSU to ISU is not as big as Missouri to Norfolk State.

Uh.... actually that was not a 16 beating a 1, it was a 15 beating a 2. And it had happened several times before that game...

That is true, I forgot that was a 16 seed over a one....and it has never happened...not the same "feeling" as the ISU win, but a casual voter with no ties to a school may give that one the nod...BUT, we have a big fan base.

Either way, great exposure via ESPN's commercials and night of the awards show stuff.
