B12 schedule doesn't quite mean as much as it used to.

Unbalanced now, so regular season is just a chance to add to the NET for seeding purposes.

And so many CBB games on TV every night, Big Monday is just not that big of deal anymore, IMHO.

We've come a long ways from when just a handful of games were on national TV. Between ESPNs, ESPN+, CBSSN, they'll all be accessible somewhere.

Anyone else a little disappointed ISU doesn't get a home Big Monday game? I know there are marquee matchups all the time for the Big 12, but I would had thought a team that will likely be ranked in the top 10 preseason poll with one of the best home court environments in the nation would had led to one Big Monday home game.

Yeah I would have figured ISU would have got at least one but that's the breaks I suppose. Hopefully means maybe we get 1 or 2 next year.

Probably so they can camp out for a week and not miss class, they should add that game to there student ticket.
Don't know if it will be added but in the past hasn't the Athletic Dept. allowed students to buy break tickets maybe at a reduced cost? I could be wrong on that though.

There are also two less Mondays because of the CFP expansion. National title game would have been Jan 6th under the old format, now it's not until the 20th.

Man that is a crazy schedule. Just crazy.
And with non-conference games vs Marquette and Auburn (and possibly North Carolina and UConn/Michigan State, depending on how the Maui Invitational plays out)

On the plus side, I can't imagine anyone will criticize ISU's schedule, both conference and OOC games, come seeding time in March

Many of you are more versed in the ticket allotment when the students are away…im guessing all those are general admission?

Is it possible JP requests some big time matchups to drive up the price on those close seats rather than having it bundled into a student package? It feels Baylor hasn’t played in front our students in years. Kansas has fallen during that window multiple times as well. IIRCC Kansas state has as well.

Does the university still sell break game tickets for $5 for students? You’d think they could at least get half the students back that game

Ames
KU comes to Ames while students are gone so thats cool
That's the worst. I posted about this last year. The AD at least had a few student tickets reserved, but they should do more. Tell the students they get vouchers for these games for at least a side, but have to show-up for them. Not sure how to enforce that, but we need more students in the building. It's just going to make it so much less intimidating for BU, Utah and KU. Stinks. That's happened in past years as well.

Email Pollard to ask him to reserve seats for students and hopefully some will come back for that game? :p

Not quite January but there is another collegiate sports event that will take place in Arizona in that rough time frame. Just something for traveling fans to keep an eye on ;)

When I was in school 16-20 they were still doing that. I believe students could buy up to 4 tickets for $15 each and they would be in the student section. It was a pretty good deal.
