I will say, although I think Iowa has players that are better offensively than what they produced last year, Iowa had a handful of games in the conference season where it seemed like they didn't score more than 10 points in 10 minutes of game time. That's worse that droughts or being streaky, and at times I don't think multiple stops would've helped much, there was just a lid for some reason.Not what I observed. Like I said...every team has scoring draughts....your D helps you get through those. The Hawks D was horrible....couldn't get any stops.
Don't expect you guys to buy that but that's what I saw....
I would be very surprised if they were that poor for long stretches again this season. The defense though, they are going to have to prove they can work to stop teams consistently for me to believe it will be much better.
