Watching Iowa/NW have right now and it's a joke. Iowa punishing a RANKED Northwestern team with a 3rd string RB... NW is scoreless for almost 6 quarters of football. These are Big 10 heavyweights? Iowa State is on the same level as Iowa talent wise. This is only proving to me how much more difficult it is to win in the Big 12. Iowa State wins 8 games with Iowa's schedule, MINIMUM

There's no way Northwestern should be ranked 20th. They look on par with Kansas today.

Exactly. Offense is pathetic, NW would be a bottom feeder in Big 12, but since they're in the Big Ten, they have the opportunity to be a ranked football team. Really doesn't seem fair

The big 10 has some of the best defenses in the country. Idk how ISU would hold up each year vs the softies the big 12 put out. ISU would be a 3 big ten win a year type team.

Not sure if we would win many (if any) more games. Really am amazed though that NW held Stanford to 6 points. Saw their game the other night w UCLA and they were impressive.

Watching this Iowa game, offensive futility is all I see. Good defense is just an illusion due to the Big 10 brand

Follow the money.
If you were some, say, Drake business grad. had a nice job at the Athletic Department in marketing designing the wonderful uniforms and "forever" commercials or whatever, you have a Big12/Texas money stream that is assuring your departments budget as long as you play the Washington General Clowns to everyone else's Globetrotters....where is the urgency to change? Why change? Everybody has a parachute or is packing it....Leath, Jamie, Paul......Not sure the passion or partisan pride is there to have a competitive football team.

NDSU would compete in Big Ten. It's not something to be proud of.
Whether it's something to be proud of isn't the question. Teams still get ranked, still receive hype etc. The big winners get into the CFB playoff. Teams like Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern actually have a chance. All in the same talent category as us

There is absolutely no way NW is the #20 team in the country. They are home and basically only in the game because Iowa's best player got hurt and their QB cannot run. Iowa I buy as #20ish ranked team.

There is simply no comparison between the Big Ten and Big 12. Michigan and Ohio State would do well in Big 12, Michigan State would do ok, maybe comparable to K State...the other 11 teams would all finish bottom half.

A team being led by Jake Rudock is one of the best in the Big 10... Same type of talent as SBR, perhaps not even. Enough said.

If Iowa State could compete in the Big 10
Then Toledo would be elite in the Big 10
