Commitment? From 5-star name players at "The U"?

I think it is MUCH more likely they got a special one-day NIL deal for $500k as long as they play in the bowl.

Probably a free 1 day injury insurance deal too.

I know someone with some ties to the AZ Bowl with Colorado State and NIL is involved with getting guys to play.

The only chance we have is if they have a lot of number 1s sitting out and it sounds like they’re not.. We’d even struggle with there number 2s.. Pure blooded athletes in South Florida
Wild that Georgia Tech and Syracuse were able to beat the pure blooded athletes in South Florida.

Not sure exactly how this Bowl determines it. IF they rotate year to year who is the home team, last year the Big 12 (K-State) was the home team and the ACC (NC State) was the road team.

Some bowls I think may do it by CFP ranking and in this case we are the lower ranked team so would think would be the road team.

So in summary guess what I'm saying is I THINK we will be in the road uniforms.
While I like the all white uniforms, I think we need to go red helmet, white jersey yellow pants…..

Where is everyone staying in Orlando?

I've been looking at AirBNB's but I am kind of disappointed in the available options. I figured Orlando would have a bunch of badass places with a pool and hot tub but I'm not finding them.

To be fair, GT has pretty damn good players IE they really should have won at Athens against Georgia. That offense is really unique and hard to defend especially when King is healthy or close to it.

But on the whole, I agree. Miami is talented, yes. But I'd rather play Miami than Arizona State. Anyday of the week and not just because of Skat or what happened. We match up so much better versus Miami than we do against ASU. Does that mean we'd win? Nope.

Cam Ward is super talented, can run and throw. But unlike Leavitt, he's also prone to throwing 2-3 turnovers or turnover opportunities a game, they have a good running game but they don't have an elite back and their strength is their passing attack which is also our strength as a defense outside of course pass rush but our ability to defend the pass is very strong. Whereas our strengths against ASU are somewhat or greatly mitigated by the fact that our weaknesses aligned closely with their strengths

Well, in the case of Miami at least, they were in the playoff hunt to the very last game. If they had beat Syracuse in that last game, they were likely a lock for the CFP. And a win against SMU in the ACC title game where they likely would be favored would have locked up a first round bye. So they had a lot to play for.

This bowl game is the first time this year they will be playing with no national title hopes on the line.
Same could be said for ISU

FWIW...I decided a few years back that I do care about bowls as a fan regardless of what anybody thinks. I get that they aren't what they used to be but here is the clear logical reality:
- If you lose fans and media still complain for various reasons about the team not showing up and not being ready etc... The team got criticism for losing to Memphis from all sorts of directions.
- If you win it's just fun to win and it's insane that you're criticized for losing but have to pretend a win is meaningless.

So yeah people do care, they take the truth that the games aren't the ultimate sign of a good team or conference anymore, and twist it into "nobody cares". Since people obviously care (both ISU fans and ISU/Big 12 haters) when ISU loses, I'm not going to let these downers steal the credit of victory away when ISU wins creating a true no-win situation.

I also feel like a lot of local Iowa media who were REALLY quick to label this our greatest team ever were just trying to take away a Fiesta Bowl win from the 2020 team. Look what the players on that team are doing in the NFL. Of course someone who doesn't like ISU would like to erase that team from existence.

It's a victory lap for the seniors and a chance to play in front of a wider audience against a team we likely don't have many previous meetings with, if any. We're not that far removed from getting to a bowl game being our goal for the season. It's not what it used to be and I hate seeing guys sit too, but why would anyone wish another game away? I'm also very hopeful that Pop Tarts goes full meme hijinx again and that we get some social media eyes on our brand just for being there.
