I’ll watch. Probably won’t have much going on that day anyways… given our recent history on these post-season scrimmage games I am not super hopeful though.

I’m sure once again the focus will be on keeping the team together and trying not to lose any key pieces to the portal, which to be fair is very important.

I'm very concerned that we won't even be trying. It'll be about fundamentals and working towards next year.
Remember that stat that we had 100 different guys play this year?

We might have 100 different guys play in THIS GAME.

Imo the playoff stuff has made everything else anti-climactic.

The excitement for bowls has eroded a lot the last 4-5 years and this year they're a total afterthought.
Very Fair point, but holy hell you should probably pick a new team to root for if that's your thought. (Ps I probably should also but wont)

The OG Tangerine Bowl is now the Citrus Bowl, but I think they called this one the Tangerine Bowl for a season or two.
Correct!

I went to the old original Tangerine Bowl (1947-82) 3 times: 1977, 1980 and 1981. Then it rebranded to the Citrus Bowl in 1983 and remained a December Bowl until they moved to NYD for 1986 season / Jan. 1987 game. They began their SEC-B1G contract in the 1992 season. I have been to the Citrus Bowl on NYD 3 times: 1993, 2011 and 2019.

Additionally, the current Pop-Tarts Bowl was also temporarily called the Tangerine Bowl for one season in 2001 when it was in between sponsors and relocated to Orlando - where it has remained since. This Bowl started as the Blockbuster Bowl in Miami in 1991 and had 5 different sponsor names in Miami before the relocation to Orlando and is on their 6th sponsor name (Pop-Tarts Bowl) now. I have never been to this game.

Let's Go State!

How did you take that I'm not rooting for ISU?

What team should I root for if I think college football in general isn't very good?
