So I’m assuming this means ISU isn’t in the Orlando Invitational as reported last week?
At least we’re considered one of the headliners though.3/4 teams are in Bart Torvik's top 18 for 2022
Xavier - 18
Memphis - 2
Va Tech - 16
That'll be brutal
Orlando is nov 25,26,28I would not think that he preseason NIT would interfere with a Thanksgiving holiday tournament.
At least we’re considered one of the headliners though.
How the hell did we get mixed up with this level of company?3/4 teams are in Bart Torvik's top 18 for 2022

Pretty good growth opportunities with literally zero pressure. Play hard and may get an early season upset. If not, nobody expected it.

Correct. Can only play one MTE. The 4 headlining teams will get two low major home games and two in New York.
Do we get 12 or 13 non-conference games in 2021-22?
Either way, seven slots earmarked so far (assuming two on-campus games in NIT format) (vs. = neutral site game):
NIT Season Tip-Off (campus game)
NIT Season Tip-Off (campus game)
vs. NIT Season Tip-Off (Memphis, Xavier, Virginia Tech)*
vs. NIT Season Tip-Off (Memphis, Xavier, Virginia Tech)*
Big 12-Big East Battle (opponent and host TBA)
Iowa
Big 12/SEC Challenge (opponent and host TBA)
My gut-guess is Memphis/VT are the "top 2 seeds" ISU/XU paired with one of those in semifinal.
