I was told the same thing before this season as well, and ISU really only had one good WR in Hutchinson.

Yea, we were really hamstrung there reducing our ability to move the ball. Biggest issue is it let defenses really key in and shut down our running game.

I actually think that Cook could be a rotation player on a contending team if he changed his focus from being a scoring 4 to a switchable small ball 5 that focused on rebounding and rim protection. He has the athletic ability to be a Montrezl Harrell type player but he just plays so soft.
He definitely has the weight for it, but he’s never been a very good defender. Harrell is much smoother offensively, but I would agree that Cook has the potential to be that type of player.

Is that Porter kid supposed to be any good? He ran well in high school.

I don't know that the straight line speed has translated all that well with route running. And, he needed to put on 20-30 lbs. There's still a chance he turns out to be a good player, but the clock is ticking at this point.
