You are saying Kirk doesn't do anything like this at all? And even if he doesnt, that does not mean kids would rather play for CMC than him. If that was the case, CMC would have been landing better recruiting classes than Iowa for the last 4-5 years.

Every coach and program has things they can sell and negatives that they need to overcome. Both ISU and iowa have a negative in location. ISU has a big negative in historical success, iowa has a negative in that their coach is old (and the racism allegations). Iowa has what is probably an overall negative in their conservative style of play. There's probably a net positive vs ISU in conference affiliation and size of the stadium/fanbase, but it isn't a lot. What iowa is selling is the NFL. And that is a VERY powerful selling point. Every single recruit wants to get there and if they think that there's a better chance of it happening in IC vs Ames, then that's tough to overcome. ISU is selling a more exciting brand of football, a young energetic staff and more of a family culture. While these things aren't as important as getting to the league, they're still important.

IMO as KF gets older and Campbell proves he's staying long term (the biggest recruiting negative against him), I think that you'll continue to see ISU able to compete with iowa head to head and win more than their share on the trail...especially as they close the gap on facilities and putting players in the pros.

To put it bluntly, KF has been landing better classes because he's been producing NFL players and everyone thought that CMC would leave. It's obvious as CMC has proven the doubters wrong and KF nears the end of his career that the tables have turned some.

Iowa’s 2021 class is definitely talented, but no offense I see some guys that don’t deserve a 4th star (Dejean, Bruce, Sullivan, and Johnson).
Dejean is most certainly deserving of a 4 star, as is Johnson. Sullivan probably isn’t. Bruce has an argument for it. Bruce single handily changed the outcome of Ankeny’s season.

Dejean played bad competition and never played safety. Beating up on 1a and 2a teams hooray! Did he ever even line up at safety?

3 picks against 1a and 2a teams and your a 4 star? Cmon man.

Most class 1A Iowa teams are still running the wing T. He has never covered anyone who is an actual high level pass catching threat. That being said he is a good athlete and has a chance to be a great player. But I agree that his rating was too high.

Dejean also won adidas player of the year, and won a state title.

Maybe the part you don’t understand is that Dekkers was in the same place at the same time as these other high rated guys so they were able to directly compare him against other QBs. DeJean put up monster HS numbers against teams with 50 kids out for football and was being compared in that award against guys who had to play the IMGs of the world 1000 miles away.

Iowa is in a great spot to get Kasper because of his dad. Iowa also is likely to get Markway because he’s a legacy and Iowa will likely get Procter from SEP who will likely end up a 5 star.
You need to stop making crazy predictions unless you want Twins to follow up and show your foolishness. Best to remain silent and thought a fool than to comment and remove all doubt, Little Hawkling.

Better get your Iowa 247 Hack to throw up a crystal ball!! ;)
