This is a big part of it but part of a bigger issue in that Iowa is a tired, declining program. The reality is that this trend is going to continue and accelerate. ISU's rise and Iowa's missteps in the last year have move the schedule ahead 3-5 years. Iowa has 1-2 seasons to get in front of it. I hope they don't.

It doesn't surprise that that even when you are slapped in the face with fact you revert back to your default stupidity. Over the last 5 years 31% of Big10 West teams have finished in the top 25 compared to 32% for the Big12.

Plus the Big10 then has to face more ranked teams from the Big10 East on top of that. Iowa has faced 8 additional top 25 ranked teams from the East over those 5 years.
