Yeah I know I would've for sure gotten frustrated watching their offense lol.
Luckily Norm passed his wealth of football knowledge down to his son Phil.
Who is Phil Parks?
Jacob Park's brother
Man, after thinking about Norm from this post went back and looked up the Orange Bowl stats. It's almost hard to believe the plan he put in place and how well the team executed.
That season, Georgia Tech was the top rushing team in P5 (Nevada #1) with 295 yards a game. 15th in scoring per game with 33.8.
Norm and company held them to 143 rushing yards, 12 passing yards, and only 7 pts. Unreal. Norm is an absolute legend.
Speaking about Legends.
He was an interesting guy. I sat by him in a few classes.
something tells me you're being kind
Who is Jim Heacock?
I always try to be kind lol. He's interesting. Interesting doesn't always have to be a positive.
Iowa fans would have been obsessed with this guy and his arm strength lol
Phil Parker just had a Top 5 scoring defense has Heacok done that at isu?
You can keep the dopers.
Not going to lie, it was pretty entertaining to watch an ISU QB put up 41 on us. You don't see that much lately. Huge loss when he transferred.
@CyTwins You tell him. School him on the truth. Iowa was higher in the final AP poll. That’s the only thing that matters.
I believe Iowa was better than Navy last year
He is the former head coach of ISU (Illinois State) from 1988-1995 that had a career 42% winning percentage. Easy to see why I got him confused with Jon Heacock.
Yeah, you probably wouldn't say that if you watched him melt down against Texas. Kempt was actually a big upgrade from that performance. And Purdy? He's only showing up on mock drafts as a first rounder.
The ISU staff seems to want to try to beat iowa at their own game. I still haven't figured out why.
Get ready for Labas
Kid has a lot of potential. I like the pick-up.
