11 AM on FSN
Not bad. Pretty much ensures a very early morning. I'm guessing I'll want to be in Ames the night before to pull that one off.
SUCKS. 2:30 is the earliest I like. I was really hoping for a night game.
Sucks. I think that sums it up.
Ouch, that is going to be an early morning.

its hard to start drinking at 5AM but i guess i will just have toughen up that day.
Question: Has ISU-UI ever been a night game?
The greatest game in the series was a night game...
2:30 would have been nice, but oh well. Guess Ill be crackin the first beer around 5 AM
I don't remember an Iowa-Iowa State game ever being a night game.
Thanks! I wasn't trying to hassle the OP, but a few weeks ago someone reported it was a 2:30 on ABC, and that turned out wrong so I just wanted confirmation.
Honestly, this is probably for the best. The boozing always gets out of control for this game and you can only get so drunk by 11AM (yes, that's a challenge). I don't think we'll ever see a night game for this one again.
Hawks fan should be on their game, with all their 11AM kicks.
Won't see another night game in the series any time in the near future either.
I was there at Kinnick for that game. That was the greatest game in that series... Well, in my life time that is.
I hate 11am games, period, but even worse for the iowa game due to how early you have to be in ames for that game. I know theyve said they dont like it at night, because of people drinking all day, but honestly, 11am just means everyone shows up earlier. I know i'll be in S4 at 5am to set up our tailgate.
At least UNI kicks off the season on a saturday night. Cant wait for that.
If ABC want this game in prime time, it will be in prime time. No way either school tries to void that...
1999, Ames - 6:00 FSN
2002, Iowa City - 5:00 espn2
For those of you that don't remember the night game, read this and it should jog the memory:

Yeah, I was going to say that the famous 2002 battle with Brad Banks' turning it over more often than a pancake chef was a semi-night game.
How bad is traffic @ 4:30AM trying to get in from DSM? I went to Ames the night before in '09. Contemplating doing that again.
