If IWU continues their winning ways, what are the chances they make the FCS Playoffs? Sorry if this has already been asked, I'm not as up to date on my Southland Conference athletics.

They have to win out. It’s unlikely since they play 3 ranked teams before the playoff selection

The team IW beat was ranked 6th too. The next 3 weeks they play at #22, host #10, and at #15. They’ll have to win all 3 of those to have a shot at the playoff. They’re 4-3 with 3 games to play besides ISU.

6-4 is not gonna cut it and likely 7-3 won’t either. That Lamar loss is really freaking bad. Like losing to a Purdue school and hoping to make the FBS playoff

It's probably my nut cup talking but I genuinely do not feel all warm and fuzzy about this IW game. I'm not saying we'll lose but I'm not gonna feel comfortable until if and when we're up by like 5 TDs.

ISU is MUCH, MUCH better than IW and the game should not be close.

Problem is, that doesn't always mean it will turn out that way. You're talking about a bunch of college aged kids playing a game here. And if your team just can't find the energy to get up for playing an Incarnate Word football team, you can easily lose.

True for a Paul Rhoads coached team, but with this team it would take a hell of a lousy performance to lose to IW. Idk anyone would be concerned of that.

For comparison purposes, UNI got 104 points and SDSU 443 points (even after UNI destroyed them).

It won't be cancelled unless we are in the championship game. It gives underclassman a chance to play and will mean a shorter off period before a bowl. Still a month to Jan 1st but better than a 5 week lull.

No. Only way it doesn't happen is if either team makes their conference championship. It is in the contract.

Not necessarily. Bowl committees are aware of things like cancelled games. Poll voters and talking heads are not.

Will it? No, unless we’re in the Big 12 championship game.
