I wonder if Taylor is kicked off the team, will GMac sign another high school player? According to several sources, a 6-10 300lb plus player is interested in Iowa State, but we don't have an open scholarship. He might be a project, but a big guy. His name is Kem Newke.

Iowa State will not sign Neweke in the class of 2007.

I don't know if recruiting a 6'10" player would have anything to do with Taylor's status for next year.

If Taylor leaves, we could use a solid 2 guard, not another post player.

Look at the schools inerested in Nweke, that should answer the question about him being a B12 player right now. Hes definately a project.

Actually we still have a couple scholarships open, and we need to get a solid big man in 2008, not a project player like Nweke. I would be surprised if Taylor actually is dismissed though.

Just keep in mind that Marcus Fizer was a project, and look how he turned out...

Fizer a project? Not. McDonalds AA isn't too big of a project.

I never would have believed that Eduardo Najera would turn out to be a better pro than Fizer.

We could end up with a starting five very similar for next four years....do not expect much next year. We are back to square one IMO with the loss of the backcourt. Just like Will and Curtis early disappearance. Speaking of Will he is on the Pistons roster for tonight's TV game.

No kidding! If he plays basketball he has to at least have SOME speed, right?? A 6'10" 300+ lb. tackle running at you... yikes! :yes4lo:

No not like Wesley Johnson, WJ got lost in the mix because of his school closing and all that crap. WJ was at least rated by rivals, just imagine if would of got to play in front of scouts. Rivals isn't even wasting stars on this guy. But, if we do sign this guy or he goes somewhere else and is all big12 frosh I will eat my words.

We could use a 6'10" DT. Just tell him to get his hands up on every play. Knock down 4-5 passes a game.
