Had tears in my eyes at the opening kick this year because my dad couldn’t make it due to health issues. He missed every game until Texas tech……I was surprised when he told me this week he wasn’t missing this one. Bonus on top was that my 11 yr old also wanted to go. Enjoy it everyone.

Coolest part of tonight was the phone call I got from my old man (55) who’s a lifelong Clone fan. Near tears, so excited he was there to witness the first of MANY 10 win seasons!

I’ve mentioned before that my Dad has Parkinson’s and he’s 75. Getting to games is getting tougher. And he might have attended his last game in Jack Trice tonight. I sure hope not. But what a way to go out if it was.

I kind of laugh at everyone who talked about how their Thanksgiving plans were more important than the game. Because hands down I have much better memories at Jack Trice with my family than random holiday gatherings. Just this season I’ve had core memories with my parents and siblings.

Dad and I were at the Seneca game against TT in 02, the Shaggy game in 07?, and 2011 OSU to name a few. Now we can add tonight to that list as well. Absolutely incredible

We were always a basketball season ticket family because my parents farmed. So we maybe had 1 football game a year.

But they got season tickets in 2010 and they haven’t missed many games. And it’s been so much fun.

There’s was something special in the crowd from the opening kick. People stood way more through the entire game. Everyone there wanted it so bad. As one of many that have stuck through the literal decades of hard, hard times, that game felt so, so damn good. It’s a great freaking day to be a cyclone.

Thanks to all the Cyclone fans who were there! We did it!

CYCLONES WIN!!! ............ One more in Dallas!!!

Biggest win ever which can be eclipsed every week going forward. Very happy for the players, coaches and fans. I forgive Gunner & other rotters.
