Moore wasn't nearly as dirty. He just blocked a guy that was out of the play. He didn't try to break the guys knees.
I don't know. I always thought what UT player did to Broomfield was dirty, but that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw Moore blind side a guy after a play was over.

I look at it this way. I hope it motivates Hufford to explode off the ball against Texass and back up his words.

I don't.

Translate?
Lol, I was kinda being serious. I don't know either, that's why I asked. I would presume it means like sports betting, like bet is on? Lol, I'm a millennial but I didn't think I was THAT out of touch. I know generational lingo is common, but there are always some that just don't make sense. Pretty sure Jeremy had a thread on this fairly recently.

I'm generally a "talk all the ****" guy but, while your unit has improved, you'll still be the worst unit on the field this weekend so maybe shut up if your just going to go with boilerplate stuff. If you could make it funny, or intelligent, then maybe let it rip but this was just drivel from a guy who's probably going to get wrecked a fair amount this weekend.

*I'm not saying we can't compete and win. I'm saying that if we do it won't be because the OL is paving.

If the Oline is paving we have an unbelievable chance at winning

I think you can look at this from a couple of angles. For a young ISU team, does it install confidence? For Texas, does it bring more motivation? I would think playing for a CFP birth is enough.

In the end, he probably didn’t need to say it but it also likely doesn’t matter once the game starts. 6:33 left in the 2nd quarter, game tied 7-7, Texas rips off an 87 yard touchdown run. I doubt the QB reminded them of Hufford’s comments before the play. If Texas wins, they may bring it up in post game comments but it is highly unlikely it impacted 60 minutes of football.

According to Burnt Orange, Hufford is the only player they respect. Helps is you have the rep and can back it up. Good for him having cahoonjes and to back it up.

They still are. That wont change because of one quote.
I hate to break it to you, but I seriously, seriously doubt it. They have no one else to look past us to. They are in the hunt for a national title. They know looking "past" us costs us the chance at a national title and a giant middle finger to the Big 12.

I hate Texas and would love nothing more than a 31-0 drubbing.

BUT without looking at it biasedly there are three factors that tell me Saturday night is going to be difficult. Impossible? No. But incredibly tough

A) They have no one to look past us to and every reason to focus as they're goals are close
B) They have struggled in Ames recently - losing 4 of 5 - and I doubt they want to have that *Blemish* on their record leaving the conference
C) Bullentin board material 100% matters. Tom Brady has famously been partly motivated even late in his career by being a 6th round draft pick. These guys are motivated by outside noise all the damn time.

I'm not saying we're going to get curb stomped. But I am just trying to sound a word of caution. This is not the same Texas team. This is not a bunch of 5 stars that just roll the ball onto the field. This is a well coached, well prepared group.

Its a winnable game. Every game on the schedule is a winnable game. I'm just saying... the idea that the comments don't matter or they are somehow looking past us.. I don't buy into that.

We can win. And if we win that'll be the most amazing feeling in the world to knock the arrogant asses on their arrogant asses all the way back to Texas. I'm just being real about the team coming to town on Saturday. This ain't Herman's Texas.
