How would you compare JB to SJ

Saw this video on ESPN. I thought it was pretty cool analysis and comparison of RGIII and Luck. After a season of JB and SJ, how would you compare them against each other using the same criteria listed in the video. Obviously, our guys are not these guys, just thought this would be fun to do. Please, no cheap shots at either guy. "Act" as though you are a professional.

Spring is the time to rev up filler threads. Start the qb controversy again.

I will bite. Let's say we have JB start the game, if things do not go well, let Sam Richardson run things till the end of the 3Q. Then bring Steele in to finish up the 4th quarter. We can have a 3 headed qb monster this year.

Nearly the same player. Decent arm, decent accuracy... sometimes makes good choices, sometimes makes TRRBL choices. My take: lets play 2 QB's at the same time. 2 wrongs make a right, right?

JB is more of a throw first guy, SJ isn't afraid to run it, even when he shouldn't and has a wr open.
They both throw plenty of "wobblers", prob a few more by Steele. Just by seeing a few clips from the news the other night, looks like accuracy is still a major problem for Jantz, and they were just running simple routes inside the dome.
Please let JB win it. Id like SR to back him up, maybe SR wins it? Who knows. I hope hes that good.

Ok, maybe I titled this thread wrong. I don't mean compare JB to SJ. I meant to say, based on the 5 QB categories used in the video, who gets the "X" for that category. No QB controversy stuff here, just having some fun.

Accuracy SJ
Arm Strength SJ
Touch Push
Decision Making JB
Athleticism JB

Personally I think Jantz is the better passer, but JB makes better decisions and brings more to the running game and defense because he takes more time off the clock from running it. I would go with JB, but I'm just a average idiot fan who watches games on tv.

Accuracy: I want to say Barnett, but stats don't back that up. Push.

Arm Strength: Jantz. No discussion.

Touch: Barnett.

Decision Making: Barnett. No discussion.

Athleticism: Push.

2 pushes, Barnett 2, Jantz 1.

Accuracy: Push
Arm Strength: Jantz
Touch: Barnett
Decision Making: Barnett
Athleticism: Healthy Jantz slight nudge.

When it comes to higher ceiling Jantz wins by a long shot over Barnett, but Jantz' decision making needs to come a long ways.

Steele is faster, stronger, and quicker. I think he's a much better athlete. When healthy of course

Accuracy - Barnett? Maybe? Both were inaccurate a lot last season
Arm Strength - Jantz
Touch - Barnett
Decision Making - Barnett
Athleticism - Jantz

I still think Barnett is the better option to start next year. It will be his third year in the system, seemed to make better decisions than Jantz, I think he gives ISU the better option to win.

Accuracy - JB slight edge (he had a lower completion % but a lot more drops. I counted 17 in just the KU and OSU game)

Arm Strength - Jantz

Touch - JB

Decision making - JB not doubt

Athleticism - Push (I do know from visit to the Jake this past fall that JB had a faster 40 time than SJ and was #1 in squat for the QB's. It's posted outside of the locker room)

Interesting. It seemed to me that JB was quicker, but SJ was simply more elusive. Wonder who is the fastest at various yardage intervals.

Yep, the coaches have said this also. Jantz has the tools to be very good, but he's gotta fix some things between the ears (obviously).

If you watched Barnett last year and didn't see a player that is limited physically (he's short, not really all that fast or quick for a guy as small as he is, and a very weak arm for this level that will not magically get a lot stronger), then you weren't paying attention.

JB fumbles too much.

Jantz throws too many interceptions.

I'd think whichever of the two can eliminate that problem area from their game will have the advantage in the QB race.

I love watching Steele play though. He's like a Brett Favre. He can win you some games(Iowa, UCONN, UNI) But can also lose you some with INTs. He makes things fun though.

Haha Wow. Does JB have a stronger arm just because he has more throws into the wind?
