Here’s a quick tutorial on how to participate in the new Cy-Bookie.

Sportsbook

It’s really pretty simple.

Go to the secondary navigation part of the screen – the area just below the Cyclone Fanatic logo at the top of the screen. Then scroll over and click on sports book.

You’ll then see a list of games, prop bets, O/U, etc.

See something you want to bet on? Click on the event. Then look to your right and you’ll see text that says “place wager.” Click on it and simply place your wager on the game.

Last night, I gave everybody 10 K and note that I am going to run this as close to a real sports book as possible. AKA, don’t be an idiot and then come asking for more money next week!

Any questions?

Thanks for giving me a reason to come here besides reading stories and listening to some podcasts. I'm already using this as much as some people use forums lol.

Very cool... it would be handy to have an income 'source', even if small amounts. Per post? Per page view? Per visit? Monthly Salary of $250.00?

Even something way smaller. I think if you do run out there has to be a way to get some more even if very small amounts.

Money per post is an interesting idea if that's even possible.

I don't know about per post/view/view. People could stock up on credits without participating. A monthly salary would keep it more equal.

Is there a way to request certain events be added? Or would it be easier for someone with a lot of requests to become a bookie (not sure what the requirements even are to become one?)

I'm mainly interested in most of the college football lines for each week. Depending on how long the process takes, I could potentially help out.

There is a thread in the Sports Betting forum to request certain games. Each week, we will have most of the Midwest games and Top 25 games.

Supposing we have a high level recruit coming in and we need a little cash to get Chris out of town for a while, where do I go when I want to cash in some of my chips? :p
