I've got ADT and Atech coming in to take a look, anybody have any good reasons they prefer one over the other?

Atech has a more local feel and also does central vac so they are definitely most appealing at this point.

I'd like to here which route others took.

We are moving to Des Moines in a couple weeks and we are planning to go with ATech. I like the fact that they are local, handle central vacs, etc. and they wired our house when it was built.

Wow where are you living in Des Moines that you need an alarm system? We have one and only use it for smoke alarms. Rest is a waste but we did not install it.

We aren't installing a new system, the house already had a system that includes wired smoke and fire detection. Our insurance company will give us a pretty hefty homeowners discount for using it.

I don't know too much about home security systems, but I do have some questions about satellite tv there Wayne.
