watching some of their last couple of games so dramatized Fran's presence against say Izzo. I remember Larry and Tim Floyd too were like Izzo....they could ACT mad at referees, getting results they intend or maybe even an occaisional Technical if desired. Fran is honestly MAD...he is enraged. No acting. Dude is really really angry.
I miss Woodbury.

One would think that after being a head basketball coach for over 30 years, one would learn to work the officials. But not Mad Fran, he just starts screaming at them. And then Iowa fans wonder why they do not get calls going their way.

I do think 9-11 is most likely. If they finish 9-11 only beating teams they should beat they may be out. If they're 9-11 but get a few more good wins in there I think they are in.

I'm not sure Fran has ever gotten a quality win in the BTT so that may be out.

Those folks think a lot of things. Who cares?

ISU still has a ways to go so I'll worry about them.

I agree with them 100%. They'll be in at 9-11 even if they lose to all of the "good" teams on their schedule. Look at the bubble, it's Charmin soft.

I don't care what Net ranking and KenPom say...I'd much rather be in Iowa's position than Nebraska's. Nebraska is not going to sniff .500 in league unless they make a huge improvement.

I don't care whether they get in or not. All I am focused on is a win vs. WVU tonight.

They're 16-5. If they split their last 10, then they're 21-10 and I'll guarantee they are in, no matter what happens in the B1G tournament. Seeding, that's another matter entirely. Even at 20-11 (which I think is most likely), they'll get in.

Their chances of winning any games in the NCAA tourney, I think, will be largely dependent on their 3-point shooting percentage.

I think that they have a good shot. That ISU win is a major feather in their cap. But, they are going to need another big win (like against Michigan Friday) to stay out of the 8/9 game or potentially Dayton. I do think that they can win a game in the tourney if their guards are hitting, but their lack of defense puts a major ceiling on how far they can go.

If Iowa goes 10-10 in league play and doesn't have a win over a conference foe with a winning record they will be the Nebraska of 2018. If they go .500 in the league then they have to have a W against Michigan, Maryland, or WI.
