They are in a tough spot. If you get rid of Rondo and Wade you pretty much give up on next year and fans will be pissed they are losing. If they stay the same, fans will be pissed they aren't that good. They don't great young guys so the talk about developing the young guys they have just seems dumb. Mirotic just isn't the player they thought he was and they haven't drafted well lately. I would like to see them blow it up and start over. Get draft picks for Butler from the Celtics. Lose Wade and Rondo. Try to get a young free agent star in the next few years and build through the draft On the other hand I don't trust who they will draft.

I'm in shock that GarPax is actually admitting some kind of blame/being at fault here.

Maybe they are trying to turn a new leaf?

I am not surprised his job is safe heading into next year.

I am surprised GarPax acknowledged they've been building a roster that doesn't fit Hoiball.

They basically said "yeah we didn't put a great roster together for what fred wants to do, but we are going to stick the same roster"
Great job guys!

I do not know what you do with this roster...

You have one legitimate piece in Jimmy Butler.

Former stars past their prime in Wade and Rondo who cost a lot.

Lopez and Mirotic are not winning you any championships as a front line.

Some decent young talent in Payne, Grant, Portis, and Zipser, I guess, at least.

That team is already really expensive, too, particularly given your return.

Just a thread to talk about the possibility of Fred coming back and coaching again. I haven't seen this discussed before. :)

I've been predicting that Fred is back in the college game sooner rather than later. I think he gets fired around Christmas and is hired at a Big 10 or ACC school in April.

They really are. Old Man Wade got 'em good for lack of options.

Best part -- he gets to decide if they get the privilege to again next year.

I figure he does. Get paid one last time. I mean, $23 million is pretty nice.

Then go hang out with LeBbron on a minimum salary and get old and fat together.

I think the thing to do with that roster is to cry.
I did not realize that Fred had both of Prohm's NBA point guards on the roster. Interesting.
