Was at Johnston SCE Game. Johnston won but I thought SCE looked pretty good. They have some size this year. They will win that conference.

Urbandale smoked Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, 49-8. I actually felt bad for the guys on CBTJ.

I'm shocked that East beat Ames. East had to replace a lot of starters and I was under the impression that Ames was going to be better this year.

4A #1 City High demolished #3 CR Washington, 65-21. Wash still had their starters in long after City had cleared the bench, which is kinda hard to fathom. Is there a points differential component to playoff seeding? Trying to garner stats for all state consideration? In any case, it was a one-sided butt kicking!

That's unreal. Dowling looked really good last night as well, but that City High score really made me look twice. Looks like it could be a battle for 3rd place in 4A.

Newton got dismantled (again) by Ottumwa. First 0-2 start that I can remember.

Waukee destroyed SEP 35-0. The QB Owens ran for 226 3 TD's and was 5-12 for 70 yards and a TD passing. Waukee held SEP to just 58 total yards the entire game and only 2-14 passing. I think Waukee has a legit shot to win the CIML Central. It will all come down to Waukee/Valley game, and last night Valley was less than impressive to say the least.

I think he meant the Iowa Conference. Waukee is in the Iowa and Ankeny is in the Central.
