Ever exciting Richardson, Texas. I don't generally mind travel but the circumstances of this one and short term notice is what has me on edge a bit. I know I will be going down in February and probably once a month for a few months after that but this one was a surprise and still have some unknowns on it.
Not super-exciting but at least it's a pretty nice area.

Those marvelous bastids sent men to the moon using aluminum foil and a slide rule.

Much respect to that uniform. The uniform of the New Frontier

...but short sleeves and a tie should be outlawed in 2025. Then just outlaw a dang tie while we're at it. A dang scarf in the 21st century? Nah.
When I was at the federal courts about 5 years ago, the clerk of court required the office staff to wear ties. It was weird because:
1. He wasn't normally an overbearing guy
2. The probation office didn't require ties
3. Very few of the admin staff were seen by the public
4. Few of the judges required their staff to wear them in chambers
5. It always seemed like a hazard to have the IT staff wearing them as often as they were setting up and taking down hardware for courtrooms and presentations.

I see they have a Jack in the Box.

A bag of tacos and egg rolls hit right after a long day.
Jack In The Box has such a terrific menu for a fast food place. That being said, I've always been kind of weirded out by their advertising. That mascot is creepy.

So are they like a good version of white castle? I always have skipped them thinking they weren't good. May have to put them on the fast food radar list.

I wouldn't exactly say it's good but the menu is very extensive and it hits right if you're in the right mood.

At Previous Job, there was a fair amount of people who thought one pouch of coffee grounds was too weak for a pot of coffee, so they would use two pouches. It would be a surprise if you grabbed a cup of the double, but I could counter that with more cream and sugar. The solution eventually came with masking tape on the handle of one of the carafes that said DOUBLE....so we had a regular pot, a "double" pot, and a decaf pot.

I was expressing the "woes" of the coffee saga to my BIL, who's a Coffee Guy. He told me they had someone at his (then) current employer who'd make a _half_ pouch worth of coffee. I recoiled in horror and agreed that would be worse than what I had.

A bow tie or regular tie?

Regular. It looks odd to me.

I haven't worked at a place that required a tie for quite some time

Even then we started skipping the tie. After no one was terminated for not meeting the bank's high bar dress code....we all dropped it.

It seems dated and really old fashioned now. Something left to the Victorian Era

Don't forget this uniform made it happen as well...

Yeah, when I was a kid I learned that my aunt and uncle who drank coffee pretty much all hours really drank slightly flavored hot water.
