That house is way overpriced. By like 100k. By all means, offer more than asking, just in case...

Also realize the taxes will not be $150, that is tax on the empty lot. It will be reassessed and adjusted. Don't know the rates around Ames, but probably at least $6000.

There seems like there's a reason its been sitting on the market for 5 months in an otherwise fast moving market. Agreed with others that that seems listed way high.

Talk to Charter. People on this site give him crap about a lot of things, but not about real estate. He has given a lot of real estate advice to CFers.
