That's a really long time in the icu
I don't believe that is true of just ICU, but it is true of those that have been put on a ventilator. If you think a mask is uncomfortable, try a ventilator on for size. You would gladly wear a mask to keep anyone that you know from having to go through that. ICU treatment may include a ventilator, but also may use less invasive methods to assist breathing, like oxygen masks and CPAPs. But why not avoid it all? Just wear a mask, people. This may not be the thread for this discussion and I'll happily move it to the general covid thread if request. I was reading an article this morning about covid patients suffering from PTSD that were in ICU for a long period of time. I'm not saying this is going to happen in this particular case but it's occurring in a number of patients.
A quick email to ISU compliance would probably be the best way to find out but after reading this article my guess is it would be allowedhttps://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.coloradoan.com/amp/79084750If you are an ISU donor can you donate to this fund without a compliance problem?
