For best football conference? We have 3 in the top 5 (TT, UT, OU)and Mizzou and OSU are in the top 15

Yes. LSU was down to Troy 31-3 at home I believe. Pretty big drop-off after Alabama and Florida. Big12 has 5 really strong teams, 3 BCS quality. Mizzou and OSU could hang with any team on any given day.

Clearly, the Big 12 is better than the SEC this year. I do think the SEC is a deeper conference (fewer very weak teams) but the Big 12 is loaded at the top (more very strong teams). Anyone that does not think the Big 12 is the top conference this year is a dolt.

PS: The Big 10 sucks...AGAIN THIS YEAR!!

Ask me the same question at the end of the Bowl Season. I just hope that the Big 12 doesn't lay an egg next month.

The sad thing is if Missouri should happen to pull off upset in Big XII Championship game. (Not likely but possible) It could happent that if you look at TT, TX, and OU only one would get a BCS bowl despite being rated in top 5. I'm OK with the two team limit cuz I would hate to see any other conference send more than 2.

Overall the SEC is better but the top of the Big 12 is better than the top of the SEC imo.

I think the 2 team rule is BS. If a conference has 3 teams in the top 5...all 3 should go to BCS games.

I also think its BS that some conferences have to play a championship game and some don't.

The "rules" of college football are a joke. Go to an 8 team playoff.

So what's the breakdown at this point for the 10 BCS teams:

Big 12: (2) (between tech, OU, and texas)
Big 10: (1) Penn State
SEC: (2) 'Bama, Florida
Pac 10: (1) USC
Big East: (1) Cincy
ACC: (1) Maryland or Miami

The last two I have no clue. Could Ohio State sneak in? Or two at large?

Yes, the Big XII is the premier Football Conference in the Nation. Always has been, Always will be.

Now, lets hope more kids from Texas and Florida want to play in this conference instead of going to Big 10, ACC or Pac 10 Schools.

GO CYCLONES!!!!!!!!

Oregon State might sneak in from the Pac 10 as well.

Utah will be in there and so will either Ohio State or Boise State is my guess.

My guess is Penn State would play USC. I can't imainge people need to see Ohio State get crushed again.

Actually, if Oregon state and USC both win out, wouldn't Oregon State win the conference since they won head to head and both only have 1 loss? Then the Pac 10 would get two teams in by default.
