Tyrese for Big 12 POY? Doesn't seem impossible if he can keep up this production, which will undoubtedly go down some but he's pretty historic right now.

At this point he is

#5 in PPG: 16.1
#1 in APG: 8.6 (next 6.9)
#1 in SPG: 3.0
#5 in PER: 28.9
#1 in Win Shares: 1.8

Only four PG's have won in the history of the Big 12, Tinsley, Marcus Smart, Frank Mason, and Devonte Graham. their #'s?

Tinsley: 14.3 PPG, 6 APG, 2.5 SPG
Smart: 15.4 PPG, 4.2 APG, and 3.0 SPG
Mason: 20.9 PPG, 5.2 APG, 1.3 SPG
Graham: 17.3 PPG, 7.2 APG, 1.6 SPG

Now, I understand it's a long shot. We won't win as much as those Kansas teams. Historically, PG's don't win it, but TH is putting up some pretty insane #'s right now. He's got a better chance of being Pierre Jackson, putting up crazy #'s and not winning it. Just want to put in perspective his performance so far.

He has far exceeded my expectations thus far. It will be a shame if we can't surround him with enough talent to get back to the tournament.

And I think he causes another 2-3 turnovers per game. SH got in the air several times last night with no where to go.
Ya I agree I feel like he generates more than 3 a game. I also like the attitude Hali, Condit, and Nixon all bring to the court. Bolton has his moments too. Young still the quiet monster we all love as well.

I thought TJ Ford won POY the year Texas made the F4?

Point stands though. If he keeps up this level of production he'll be in the conversation but any KU player starts out with the lead and you have to do enough to overcome that.

Hali seems to be others' ears when it's needed. Seemed like it was March before that really happened last season, and I've wondered if he didn't want to be the guy then but found it tough being a freshman.

No chance. A player from either Baylor or KU will win it.

I think it's safe to say we had some strong personality types on last year's team that made it hard for Tyrese to become his fullest potential.

Conditt is 11th in blocks per game and 3rd in blocks per 40 minutes. In striking distance of #1 in both.
(I'm not sure if that includes last night, if not he's probably #1 per 40 and middle of top ten in per game)
