I really don't see how she couldn't have gotten the same initial storm. It blew up in Washington County and was picking up steam as it rolled through. What we are getting now is what Central Iowa saw earlier. After this comes through, I have some hot spots in the area pop up, but it will be few and far between.

I got some decent - probably quarter sized hail near Dubuque earlier.

That's crazy...we live in Clive and didn't get a drop of any kind of hail or rain for that matter. What size hail did you get?

hey, i live in clive, and we got some rain and some pea sized hail.....along with a little lightning show.....

Drove through a hail storm today for the first time in my life. That was frightening. Stopped the car to allow the system to pass, ended up with a bunch of dime-sized ice pellets littering the highway (although during the storm
I swear they were golfball sized.)

It hailed for about 2 minutes in WDM last night...along with a lot of lightening and very strong winds.

Saw on dsmweather.com's twitter feed that the storm was moving at 90 mph!
