The shot from the corner by Shayok will live in cyclone memory forever as one of the greatest shots of all time in tournament play......Shayok is a pure shooter and when he gets his stroke going he can make buckets in droves.....

Thanks Steve Prohm and your assistants for a very memorable season.....GO Cyclones beat the Jayhawks.....

It's good to see this team playing up to their potential. Where's all the Prohm haters now?

you think the fist 15 minutes of the second half was playing to their potential? Overall they played 20 minutes of good balll total during the game. Thankfully it was enough to win.

Here’s one Brandon.

It’s so bad that people think games just happen in a vacuum. The other team, especially when they are good (good enough to win the league), doesn’t just roll over and die.

But it doesn’t matter to these folks. It’s alwsyx the coach

You're probably right. I have been critical of the team at times but always thought prohm is a very good coach.

There have been some times I have questioned Prohm approach to a game, like not pressing Iowa, but most of the time the losses have been on the players. There has been a lot of poor shot selection and just not enough desire to get the ball in the later part of the season. Looks like the ship has been righted a bit.

If this team played to their potential more consistently they’d be top 10 and a final 4 favorite. You don’t let the second half go beyond the first media time out with out matching the intensity of KSU. A win is a win that’s all that matters. The bad stretches for this team last a long time, that’s the difference between elite. I don’t think coach has been very good at minimizing the bad stretches.

Or I could take the rainbows and unicorns approach that this board only finds acceptable...got a win vs a depleted KSU team thanks to an incredibly kind bounce on a Shayok 3 as well as Shayok making a fall away corner three that was one of the toughest shots we’ll see. This team is back!!

Again the wins are what matters, and two in KC is fantastic. but do we really think the team is truly playing to their potential? I don’t think we’ve seen their full potential more than a couple times this season. It was close against Baylor. Not as close against KSU.

They missed a couple wide open 3s near the end. Almost every open 3 against ISU has gone in this year, even if it was a 20% 3 point shooter from 25 feet.
Unfortunately we provide a lot more open 3's to opposing teams.

I'm not sure what there is to say other than that was a special effort and wonderful game by both. In the end, Shayok made the shots. Hilton south rocked. Good luck in the championship. #emaw
We are glad we won't see Brown, Stokes and Wade again like you guys were glad to never play against Niang & Company again. Good luck in the tournament and hope Wade gets healthy.

So you believe 22 wins to this point was max potential?
