So happy to see Connor Assalley make such a huge play. The kid obviously has a lot of composure and talent. But, it's even better to see the video interview posted of him and get the strong feeling he's a good person. Campbell has compiled such a great group of men and they all are doing such amazing things. We are lucky they represent our University.

Connor Assalley is a Cyclone legend no matter what happens from here on out. Get that man a scholarship if he doesn't already have one! Enjoy the good times, Cyclone Nation.

P.S. Rob Gray always writes good pieces.

I am as happy as the next guy about the win but making a kick that a college level kicker should make 90% of the time doesn’t make you a legend.

Sadly I remember the missed walk off attempt against Mizzou... Feels good to be on the good side of one of those.

Alex Giffords against OU also comes to mind.

There's a difference between making a chip shot in practice and hitting a FG with no time left to win the game. Not even going to OT if missed, lose if missed. That's some pressure there.

Way up there
Connor should get a lot of props for accepting his role as the "short" Fg kicker and letting Narveson take over the long kicks. That's a good reflection of his character and more exciting of the culture that this staff has created within the program.

He was the hero of the game for sure. Heroes get remembered but legends never die. It was a huge, clutch kick, but it’s not like he pickled the beast.
