Here’s the video for those that haven’t seen it. In real-time it doesn’t look like a td. That pic does provide good perspective. A hell of a call by that ref it looks like.
Flo also got this nice little explanation.

I actually like the rule. If it happens in a regulation then it's scored 2 td 2 reversal. Before the no reaction time rules, this was a very inconsistent call by officials. The rule is now clear imo.On the Dean one I’m inclined to agree with the opinion out there of right call, bad rule
I think I agree with this. In general I think we should make things easier on the officials by giving them less “discretion”. Not sure how a nebulous term such as “reaction time” can ever be applied fairly and consistently.I actually like the rule. If it happens in a regulation then it's scored 2 td 2 reversal. Bedlam has been entertaining.
Okie State didn't look very impressive. I think the Big 12 title this year will come down to Iowa State or Mizzou (unless Oklahoma has another insane tournament again)OSU got a gift by getting two stall calls in five seconds the match prior. Second call was especially egregious IMO.
Mehki Lewis hasn't graduated yet??I see Mizzou got beat by Va Tech this week. Looks like Mizzou didn't wrestling Surtin at 125 or Jaques at 157

Also, another relatively close match for O'Toole against a guy he should be majoring.
We are supposed to have that, but as Casey found it, it doesn't apply against Hawkeye wrestlers.I think I agree with this. I think the exact same thing about stalling. Since stalling is completely up the officials discretion it leads to horrible inconsistency and influence from fans and chirping coaches. A step out is a far better rule.
It is entirely possible that ISU could take 5 from PSU. Would need to win 41, 49, and 97 which would all be toss ups, and also win 25/65 where ISU would be favored. In news relevant for next week, Penn State beat Oregon State 31-3, but the individual matches were closer than the team score indicated.

Sign me up for a split with Cael's boys.I would call 125 a tossup without Kysen. But agreed, it wouldn't be shocking if we did split 5-5.
It would not be terribly surprising for us to win 57.It is entirely possible that ISU could take 5 from PSU. Would need to win 41, 49, and 97 which would all be toss ups, and also win 25/65 where ISU would be favored.
Is Beau Bartlett the normal starter for PSU at 157 this season? I haven't kept up.
He's always seemed like one of those talented but hit or miss kinds of guys.
Got ya...I guess I just needed to open my eyes and actually look at the results that were previously posted!Bartlett is their 141 pounder and ranked in the top 10. 141 is more of his natural weight, he just wrestled up the last couple of years due to Nick Lee being there
