If we only lost Dekkers but keep the others, it wouldn’t affect my outlook. Losing all of them changes things a lot.
Dekkers is probably the biggest drop off- We just don't know what Rocco has and JJ is just a freshman.

Brock- Is he head and shoulder above the rest? Idk about that. I always thought it was going to be "by committee" this year anyway.

Hanika- Eh not worried here, outside of the experience he would bring.

Lee could be a huge loss but if Orange is going to be what people are saying he could be then I'm not sure we have much of a drop off

I know a lot of people don’t like Dekkers, but I think they will really be missing him after a few games. Hope I’m wrong.

Brock- I’m one of those that believes the RBs are only as good as the OL, so I don’t think this one matters that much…. all depends on OL.

Hannika- honestly not worried at all about this one. TE position is loaded.

Remsburg- Only a loss if he was actually going to be healthy for more than a couple games… which is not very likely IMO.

Lee- huge loss IMO. Yes Orange is the real deal, but not Lee’s level yet, and this position MUST have depth…. they get worn out fast.

Dekkers, Brock, Hannika, Remsburg and Lee ?

Those are the names floating around right now.
Exact same five names I've heard.

Four of them (not Dekkers) are redshirt seniors which means their careers (no more eligibility) are likely over unless they appeal and win but I have a feeling we're going to be made the example here.

We are absolutely ****** without the last 4. Especially Brock and Remsburg.
I agree it’s a big loss but our defense can keep us in games. Our offense is going to have to figure it out. Hopefully the NCAA only gives them 6 games

Yeah they’re screwed no matter what it’s just how many games they’ll miss.

Hannika has been tweeting motivational things about this season. Don't think he would be doing that if he was involved with this. Everyone thinks they have an "inside source" until that source is wrong. I expect the majority of people on this board with "inside sources" to be completely wrong.

Do you all realize that these Dekkers rumors could have been started by some Hawk fan on twitter. I could make a burner right now and say Cooper Dejean is involved with this at Iowa. Is he? 99% not but someone could tweet that and you all would believe it. Your "inside sources" probably heard it from their "inside sources" who heard it from another guy that just made it up. The speculation is honestly corny. Just wait for the list to come out, no reason to put guys names on blast for some things they might have no involvement with.

Did Dejean’s mother have a search warrant issued during May though?

And if it is? Then, we laugh at you?
Sure go ahead. I'm not the one out here saying it's anyone in specific. Borderline defamation, you shouldn't be able to just make these claims. All of these "inside sources" must not be able to keep their mouth's shut and probably won't be inside much longer.

Whew, I’m hoping my source is wrong and y’all are right. I had only heard Dekkers, Noel, and Remsburg. Sounds like Dekkers and Remsburg are common names that have been shared, hoping the Noel part of it is wrong - and judging by ISU’s twitter post today, I’m relieved to see Noel on there. Thought it was telling that Norton was on there too, which to me confirms Jirehl is also one (as others have said on here)

SIAP but Noel had Rocco on his Instagram story yesterday. Would be a weird thing to do if he was caught up in this.

Sure, just ignore the VPN part, which absolutely enables the use of the popular betting apps outside of their geofences.
Nah. I’m ignoring everything you have posted on this issue because your posts have no relevance to the topic. The only reason I responded to you in the first place was because you made some crack about how the SEC would just sweep conduct like this under the rug, and I showed you:

1. Only 1 SEC state has legal online sports gambling, which is the issue being discussed. We likely aren’t having this discussion if it wasn’t legal to bet on sports, online in the state of Iowa. VPN, local bookies, etc are not root causes of this issue

2. Alabama just **** canned their baseball coach for a gambling related offense, so there goes your “SEC slap on the wrist” comment

Brock would be a big loss, not sure we have as big and physical of a back to replace him. We didn’t last year. Need a guy that can get YAC.

The betting apps literally do not let you place a bet if they detect a vpn. Also they require you to have geolocation services on your phone turned on. These companies aren't dumb

Lol. This is a message board...
And it's only a matter of time before this all becomes reported. Were the "inside sources" supposed to keep this quiet all season?
