Got bored today, and decided to look at our future non conference opponents here. A few things stood out to me. First, why do we continue playing UNI? Even though we get a break from them in 24/25, I am sure we will play them in the following years. Everyone knows when UNI plays at Iowa State, its their super bowl. No under recruited player from small town Iowa wants anything more than to beat one of the big boys. We already have to deal with a team playing their super bowl by playing Iowa, why do we subject ourselves to it twice a year? Second, why do we continue scheduling road games at G5 schools? I get destination trips (UNLV and Tulane), but at Ohio and at Bowling Green? Not to mention we've traveled to Tulsa and Akron in recent memory as well. I don't think there is another Power 5 school that travels to G5 schools as much as we do, and in my opinion it is something we just shouldn't do. I'm all for "buying wins", but most schools at least get a 2 for 1 deal and we can't even seem to do that.
