I'd like to see that as well. Not gonna lie, it got a little dusty in Hilton at that moment.

That's cool that he got an entrance like that, accompanied by Fred.

Orr is 86. '86 was the year ISU beat Michigan in the tournament, with each team in similar national expectation to today.

Coincidence, but a fun coincidence. Oooh-wee, Coach!

I remember being so sad the day that Johnny announced his retirement. Growing up, was always my dream to play for him and then all of a sudden I got home from school and he wasn't going to be the coach anymore. Man, i was so bummed.

I can tell how special it is for Fred to walk out of the tunnel with Johnny like that, you can just see it in his face what an awesome dream come true it is for him to be our basketball coach now.

    Man, I Love ISU!

Cyclones.tv That should be where you go after an ISU game. They have the coaches press conferences and player interviews for free.

Should have played the "Here's Johnny" "Tonight Show" theme when he walked in like they used to.

EDIT: Maybe they did. Listened a 2nd time through the crowd noise.

I was in pep band my senior year (2011) and we played it for Orr's entrance at the game where Johnny's was dedicated. That was under the old director, though. I'm curious if it got played tonight.

Very classy of Fred to step back and let him go out on his own.
