I wake up in the morning and do what I want.

I get to hang out with some cool k-2nd graders at the elementary I work at. I feel like I get a lot of the joys of parenting but then get to go home at 4 and do whatever I want.

I get to live my dream of being David Lee Roth, Freddie Mercury, & Axl Rose on weekends with 4 of the best bandmates you could ask for. And my wife is hot. :smile:

I've got a great wife and three daughters. Everyone in my immediate and extended family is reasonably healthy. I get along great with my in-laws. I have a job where I am friends with my bosses. They value my input, and leave me be to do my own thing. I actually trained two of them at a previous employers, before they started their own business.

5 year old daughter awesome and prefers dinosaurs over ponies.

Boy just turned 2, and has proceeded to bruise his cheek and cut his forehead 2 twice in 3 separate incidents in the last two days. Didn't cry, didn't care. Just kept bleeding and running.

A job I enjoy, wife, son, baby #2 soon and Christmas is coming soon which is awesome because I love buying stuff for my son that he doesn't need or that I secretly want to play with but can't buy under normal circumstances. Oh no, these high capacity NERF guns and buckets of army men aren't for me, that'd be childish and immature.

-Spitfire wife that keeps me on my toes and works at a brewery (and a damn good one at that)

-Flexible, entertaining job that allows me to mostly create my own hours and gives me a high level of independence in decision making

-I'm in position to have two long-term high income sources beyond my current employment; one was the good fortune of being born into a farm family, and the other is of my own doing

-Great dog

-Great friends

-I live in the most beautiful part of America's best state

-$510 monthly mortgage on a fairly nice house

ummmmmm I ran over three miles nonstop last night. That was pretty awesome for someone who would probably only have previously run that much if there were a bear chasing me or ice cream at the end.

I have a pretty ok husband and we are going to be able to buy a legit big kid house next year. In fact, with payday today, my little down payment goal tracker as us back spot on for hitting my arbitrary deadline.

Also, no angry French or unreadable German emails so far today!

So I guess life is going ok

I have to miss the Kansas game (and tailgate) because I have an awesome daughter who is competing in Chicago, but also an awesome son who is carrying the ISU tailgate mantle for me.

Great job, great kids who are out of the house (knock on wood), and a wife who has a great sense of humor and is just as fun now as when we first met 32 years ago.
