I used to do a lot of grospoint (a form of needlework). My freshman year, I bought a preprinted tapestry canvas and tapestry wool and worked on the tapestry for a full semester, finally finished it in time for my mother's Christmas present. It's a reproduction of a Fragonard portrait of a young woman carving her initials in a tree, and I personalized it by having the girl carving my initials. She framed it and hung it. When she passed a few years later, my stepmother decided it didn't "fit" in her house, so she gave it back to me. So now it hangs in my house, alongside a second Fragonard of a young girl reading a book.

Pretty inspirational stuff. Has the makings for a movie. Only thing that would make it better is if your name was like Johnny, or Judy or something along those lines.

Thanks! There are others, mostly of the same era, but those two are my favorites.

Let’s do cowgirls idea. That sounds like something fun. Pictures would be nice also.

If there was gift wrapping that would mean it was a whoopsy, no whoopsy on that one.
