Was living in a different city for my 5 year and didn't think it was worth a trip back. Will probably go to my 10 year if I don't have anything else going on, not really a big deal to me either way.

I went to my 20 year reunion last year. Never went to any of the other ones.

I had real trepidations about going, but ultimately I am glad I went. Everyone was over the high school BS. We all drank A LOT and laughed even more. For me, it was great reconnecting with people from all that time ago and started up some real friendships from it. Yeah, high school sucked, but it sucked for everyone. It was somewhat therapeutic to reminisce over it and laugh about it now...

What's the point of a 5 year reunion.

I went to my 10 year reunion. I might go to my 20 year reunion. Or I might not care.

So the 5 people who are moderately successful can feel good about themselves.

That sounds a lot better planned than mine. I think they've decided to get together on a Saturday at a lake..... They really haven't done a lot of planning it seems like yet. I AM surprised by how many people they can't find contact information for.

Yeah our class is good is that we have a core group of 10 people that help coordinate our reunions. Our class was around 130 and I'd say we have had probably 60-65 % of those show. Last reunion though I was psyched as I had lost 100 lbs and now 5 years later I have put it all back on due to my struggle with depression. Through our class FB I came out about my depression issues and so many people responded with encouraging words and I'm looking to forward to seeing them.

I want to thank those who provided thoughtful and kind posts on this subject. I figured the tone of this thread would be negative which I can understand so glad to see there are some like myself who enjoy attending them.

Against my better judgement I went to my 10 year and despite it being my 30 next year I haven't and probably won't be back. It's funny how the doosh bags don't get over being doosh bags.

Didn't go to my ten year when it was held last year. Both my wife and I are from the same class and both of us had work commitments. I would go in the future, but it didn't seem like many attended last year anyway. Those who did attend still live in the same general area and all have kids so with me being in a perpetual state of adolescence I doubt we would've had much to talk about.

My class couldn't get organized so they had a 6 year reunion instead of a 5 year reunion. I went for the 10 year and paid $40 per person to eat cold meat sandwiches and chips. Half-way through the reunion they were begging people for money to buy another keg because the first and only one they purchased ran out. Another group of people spent the night trying to figure out who they could force into organizing the 15 year reunion.

My class had 79 kids, and even at the 10 year reunion the same cliques were still in place. The same 4 girls who didn't win homecoming queen were still angry and despised the girl who did win and spent the night reliving it.

For the 15 year reunion, they were calling people the day before begging them to come, they ended up with 12 people including spouses. I was a year removed from my wife passing away, so really didn't care to have to rehash that with a bunch of people I really didn't care to see. I have no idea if they had a 20 year reunion. My 25th is in 2016 and I have no intention of going.

My 10 year was last summer. I had no intention of going; my logic was I keep in touch with the people I cared about and don't really give a **** about the rest. My friends talked me in to going out to the bars where everyone was meeting up and I decided to go. I actually had a better time than I expected to, but still didn't go to the actual reunion.

My next one would be the 25 year one, I went to one and did catch up with a couple of people who I enjoyed actually getting to know better beyond my immediate circle of friends, but I doubt I'll go again.

Also curious what everyone's class size is for such things.

The event last night was great with perfect weather. Today we took a tour of our old high school which looks nothing like the school we once knew.

We had 18 in our class which broke into 5 cliques plus stragglers, the cliques couldn't get along with each other, and the stragglers just wanted it to end, lol. We had a fifth, skipped the 10,15, 20, and 25th, we are up for the 30th this summer, will see if it happens.

Did not have a 5. Depends on schedule if we ever go to one in the future. My wife and I are still close with mainly my main group of friends from high school. I would much rather see them for a night than most others. I would like to see some friends from sports teams and other groups though.

A couple years away from having one of those (potentially) for the first time. I'll probably go if I'm living in the area, and won't be going if I'm not very close. We had a class of 40 kids, and other than the one clique of girls, everyone got along pretty well. Unfortunately, that one clique was enough to make every single classmate count down the days to graduation and getting away. I live with or regularly see my closest friends from high school, so it will all depend what direction we each go after college I guess.

Skipped our 5th (we graduated high school together), wife and I went to our 10th as we were in town that weekend anyway. She was 6-7 months pregnant and the party was at a bar. Before anyone asks, it was in Iowa, so there was no smoking. She sat at a table with a few of her friends and I caught up with a few guys that I was friends with.

Since she was sitting on the other side of the bar and I was up and around mingling, I must have appeared to potentially appear single and a girl who I don't even recall tried chatting me up. All night. My wife was having a ball watching the whole thing go down from across the room.

Next year will be 15, I highly doubt we go.

I have my 35 year reunion this Friday & Saturday night. I graduated with a class of 36, and have not missed any of our 5 year reunion. Our class was pretty tight, and I love going to the reunion's.
