I'm sitting here eating a strawberry NutriGrain bar, and wondering what everyone's ideal breakfast is.

I'm very moody when it comes to breakfast. Some days I definitely want something savory, other days I only want sweet foods. So...

Savory days: one egg over-hard, a piece of bacon, and a piece of toast. Combine it into a sandwich and put on Chili Garlic Cholula.

Sweet days: cinnamon roll French toast

I'm not a sweets person so my breakfasts are always savory.

When I have time on the weekends, I'll usually make a frittata filled with whatever leftovers we have on hand. Leftover pasta frittata is the bomb!

A loaded omelet (basically everything but tomatoes). Crispy hashbrowns. Thick-cut bacon. Toast with butter. Strong coffee with a little cream. Pineapple-orange juice. Lots of Tabasco sauce. I may not eat for another two days afterwards.

Sweet days - French toast. Especially the stuffed French toast if it's made correctly.

I'm a savory breakfast guy. Give me a big plate of biscuits and gravy, a sunny side up egg and some bacon.

At home- rotate between cereal, eggs and bacon, Caseys, and others.

At a restaurant- usually omelets, the more stuff the better. Maybe pancakes some times.

I keep it pretty boring most of the time. Steel cut oats with a spoonful of sun butter stirred in and a sprinkle of brown sugar and cinnamon. Sometimes we'll go out for breakfast on the weekend, and my go-to is breakfast tacos. I'm not real big on sweets but every now and then I'll steal a bite of my kids' pancakes or french toast.

Biscuits and gravy are my once a year birthday treat for myself.

Biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs is ideal.

Reality is a couple of clif bars normally.

I don't really eat breakfast that often, but my favorite breakfast food is either biscuits and gravy or a good breakfast sandwich, cinnamon rolls are always welcome to the party though.

The sweet vs savory debate is the only bad thing about going out for breakfast. My stomach always says sweet by my brain says protein, which means I usually end up with savory unless it's a special occasion.

At home it's meal-prepped breakfast burritos during the week and usually eggs and hash browns on the weekends.

Savory: Bacon, egg and cheese breakfast pizza! (bacon, egg and cheese biscuit as a close second)
Sweet: Homemade Cinnamon Rolls! (although, any donut or pastry will usually do)

I dislike most breakfast foods. I hate toast, pancakes, French toast, cereal, oatmeal. I tolerate eggs. But I really only like omelettes.

For most breakfasts, I usually have a protein shake.

If I eat out, I will order the least breakfast thing. Something like a southwest omelette.

The University Library Cafe has a hummus melt, I'm in love with it. Hummus from the Grateful Chef as a little bit of citrus, giving it a really bright flavor. Ordered with the egg scrambled, add bacon, crispy potatoes...folks, you can't go wrong.

I rarely eat breakfast because I do intermittent fasting. But what I miss most about breakfast is big buttery fluffy biscuits. Either a bacon and scrambled egg biscuit, or a jelly biscuit (grape, cherry, or orange marmalade are amazing.)

Also, I come from a southern family, so breakfast isn't complete without buttery grits.

Edit: but, as mentioned, I don't eat breakfast anymore, so I fire up Mr. Coffee and brew some Starbucks breakfast blend, and drink it with a splash of heavy whipping cream. If I'm going all out I'll throw in a dash of cinnamon and a drop of vanilla.

I am always just so grossed out by the yolk on over-easy. It just sort of creeps out at you. :D I like over-hard because there's no surprise ending.

My day in, day out breakfast is a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit from McD's. At home it's gotta be pancakes (Krusteaz mix, please - say that name out loud) and bacon. Tons of butter.

I try to make breakfast the biggest meal of the day and high in protein..lots of eggs or regular oatmeal. Learned over the past year that Coconut Creamer is really good with oatmeal.

A favorite thing to do while out on a fishing/outdoor trip is eat a huge skillet and bacon type of breakfast at a local small town cafe.

I am 100% on team savory

I make a breakfast potato "scrambler" regularly with bacon, sausage, whatever random veggies we have laying around, and eggs all mixed together.

I typically use different spices and don't follow any recipe but it always tastes amazing
