It's truly been a pleasure to watch LJ play and develop this year and obviously I hope he stays. I know that a team is not made up of 1 player, but we need players like LJ to be successfull here and I can see him being a leader or maybe even a captain on this team as early as next year. He made a mistake at UNLV, but showed incredible maturity by taking full responsibility and then never looked back.
He's already getting All-American recognition as a true freshman and what team does he play for again......oh, that's right - Iowa State. This just goes to prove that you don't need to go to a Florida, Texas or USC to get All-American recognition like many high school athletes are led on to believe.
Bottom line is that he's a difference maker and will be very special wherever he plays and regardless of who is coaching him, so why not stay at ISU? Why not a Cyclone 1st Team All-American next year? LJ does not need Chizik to be successful.
