ISU has 16 guys going to University Nationals in Akron this weekend. The winners at each weight class will represent the US at University Worlds later on this year.

Here's the list of ISU participants:

Daniel Vega (57 kg)
Ian Parker (61 kg)
Markus Simmons (61 kg)
Briar Cochran (65 kg)
Earl Hall (65 kg)
Dante Rodriguez (65 kg)
Gavin Dewitt (70 kg)
Chase Straw (70 kg)
Colston DiBlasi (74 kg)
Brady Jennings (74 kg)
Hank Swalla (80 kg)
Dane Pestano (86 kg)
Joe Teague (86 kg)
Gannon Gremmel (125 kg)
Alex Silberstein (125 kg)
Andrew Stowe (125 kg)

Looking through the entrant lists I believe we only have guys in Freestyle, nobody in Friday's Greco tournament.

If Parker is still at 61 kg, it's safe to say that he hasn't totally outgrown 133 yet. I know making it for one tournament is a lot different than keeping your weight down all season, but it certainly doesn't look like he'll be going up to 149, as was suggested by others.

Agree that it looks like 149 is own hold. Maybe it is because of a couple potential transfers possibly coming to Ames

Dante won his first match by 10-0 tech. He's got Jessy Williams from Finger Lakes Wrestling Club (Cornell's club) next in a quarterfinal match. Though a quick google makes it look like he's a Northern Michigan alum who went there for Greco.

Man, that area is way too small, Dante started a toss and the other guy went right in to the scorer's table that was only like a foot away from the edge of the mat.

21-11 is a crazy match in Greco. Sometimes you see it in freestyle, but in Greco it's almost unheard of. Congrats Dante!

He has Chase Call of Utah Valley in the semis. Can't find any info about his Greco bonofides but he went 9-10 as a backup for Utah Valley this last season. He's won his two matches so far 9-0 and 8-0. I only watched one of them but he got an early 4 point throw and then rolled through a couple of times for the tech.

Quick 9-0 win for Dante in to the finals. Got a big 5 point throw early and then rolled the guy through twice for the tech.

He has Raymond Bunker from the Marines in the finals. As far as I can tell Bunker is the #1 seed. Looks like he took 6th at Senior Nationals last year and 7th at the US Open this spring.
