I don't see ISU as an NCAA tournament team at this point, but I don't see any way they only win 6 or 7 games in conference. I would peg them for a minimum of 9 wins at this point.

I think the B12 is better than most think. Overall, the NCAA is down this year. I think we have the talent to finish in the top half of the conference, but we have to play better than we have thus far.

This team reminds me A LOT of last years team going into conference play. The Big 12 is worse this year. 8-1 at home, 3-6 on the road. Using mred's Big 12 Tournament Bracket Generator

1. Kansas (16 - 2)
2. Oklahoma State (15 - 3)
3. Baylor (13 - 5)
4. Iowa State (11 - 7)
5. Kansas State (9 - 9)
6. Oklahoma (9 - 9)
7. Texas (7 - 11)
8. West Virginia (5 - 13)
9. TCU (3 - 15)
10. Texas Tech (2 - 16)

Here is how I think it will shake out:

1.KU 2.OSU 3.Baylor 4.ISU 5.K-State 6.Texas 7.OU 8.WVU 9.Tech way in last with maybe 1 or 2 wins... 10.TCU

11-7 is my guess for ISU's record. (Which includes beating all of the top three.) Which gets us in the 4-5 game in the Big 12 Tourney. Win that game, or get to the title and we are looking anywhere from a 6-12 seed in the Big Dance. Lose that game we are 10-12 seed and still in the dance.

I think 11-7 or 12-6 is a reasonable guess. The big question is will 21 or 22 wins be good enough to get a tourney bid or will ISU have to make some noise in the conference tournament?

I dabbled with the Generator four or five times — I keep coming up with a bunch of teams between 8-10 and 11-7, with extreme variance among 3rd-7th.

It seems unlikely — maybe I should trust the results ...

No that seem perfectly reasonable.

We're what we are. Our PG and Cs didn't turn into above average players this past year so **** it. Not the year.
