Football Parking Selection

They haven't done any work to C3 and C4 except cut off the East entrances. The two lots are still separate, but put together for selection. I doubt much else will change (lack of time) before football season. This was as of yesterday when I stopped.

I'm more concerned w/ getting stuck in the old C3 if I'm late tot the 'gate. That was the lot we were in back in the days when they had the "under 30, $50 NCC" level. Part of that is not tailgating as hard as we used to, just too tired anymore to get everyone on board 5+ hrs before kick (I am the tailgating coordination, load the truck, set everything up, etc.)

The initial CYTown phase renderings show all parking going to perpendicular vs. the current angled spots. Similar to Target parking. And looking at the dimensions on the phase renderings compared to a quick Google Earth measurement of the Target parking lot in Ames show the new CYTown parking will most likely be almost identical to Target parking.

Compared to the previous lot setup, parking space dimensions will be the same as before, but the drive lane will be wider.

If you are in the RV village, you should have already gotten an email (at least I did) about your assigned spot. You don't really get to pick. They assign you a spot (depending on donor level I believe) and then if you do not like it, you can request a move, but there are only so many other spots to choose from.

And "they" do the choosing of the RV spots. You can make requests, but the Cyclone Club makes the assignments.

Welcome @Hill4Cy. Assuming you are on the "lower" end of the donation levels to get into the RV Village which means you will be on the south half. Last year, we were in #900. Join us for poker on Friday nights if you want.

If you routinely hit up tents. B1 won’t be bad as the tents will be on the other side of Scheman, some people walk from about the horse barns, so the walk isn’t that bad.

Guessing C1/C2 up by Hilton is best you can hope for. After that just B1 & Vet Med.

C1/C2 seems the most likely, its possible only B1 and VetMed will be left by Wednesday morning.

Saying you’re scared is a bit melodramatic, wouldn’t you say? It’s not as if the only lot left is in Story City or Clear Lake. You’re going to be fine.

I was old A2 (alumni hall lot) last year and will be picking up one of the last 100 spots in C1/C2 this year. Same giving level, higher rank and recall that membership is down across almost every tier of giving this year. Net reduction of parking spots at ISC is extensive

Huh? Are you talking about the construction area of "B4" and "B5" where the CyTown buildings will be? Who gets the spots? When? How? I have heard nothing about this.

Next year they will be available. This year they're in the construction zone.
