I'll go ahead and guess that these are the same kind of snowflakes who think ESPN and whoever else are too political.
And, of course, the thread goes downhill from here.

I don't believe there is anything political in this piece at all. Absolutely nothing. It's simply a spin off of a major current event incorporating Iowa State. Zero political commentary at all. The only people making it political are the ones complaining about it being political, even though it isn't.

I don't find it political at all, just a current event reference to give the wishlist interesting context. I guess he could have went with the boring "in my lifetime" for the whiners.
My order would be:

3. Break Kansas streak (he wishes anyone would, I only want us to)
4. Beat OU
5. Wrestling

I didn't see it as political either. A bit of a joke concept to make an article appear 'timely'. And pushed too far - is how I saw it.

I just meant he kept using it throughout the article. Like a bad joke that a comedian keeps coming back to over and over again during a show. "Pushed too far" was a poor choice of words.
