I keep looking at the line up as is for next year and it is hard to see a tourney team let alone a 4 seed.

Tournament bid is logical. 4 seed, somewhat skeptical, unless he's assuming return of both THT and Wiggie. Or maybe one of the two. It's possible he started compiling his bracket before draft-entry decisions got rolling.

I have no idea what teams are losing in the Big 12 next year, but with this bracket, and some other way too early top 25 rankings I'm seeing on Twitter, there isn't going to be a 'great' team in the league. In fact, Lunardi has us and KU as the highest seeded teams for next year.

Lundardi has the following seeds for league teams:

Iowa State 4
Kansas 4
Texas Tech 7
Baylor 8
Oklahoma 9
Kansas State 11

Texas Tech will be a top 4 seed again. Beard is going to reload that roster. Maybe we'll get lucky and UCLA will come calling with an offer he can't refuse.

What's the deal with Kansas and no Top 100 recruits? Still some hooks in the water?

Considering what they had last year, with Lawson gone...

They could be bad next year.

They may need to review their merchandising contract to start competing for recruits again. I'd imagine Adidas is gun-shy about throwing money out there. Nike must be considered too big to fail by the FBI. Plus, you have the uncertainty around Bill Self.

Based on Lunardi's early bracket, our schedule could be relatively loaded.

Opponents in his field, seeding in parentheses ("2" indicates two meetings)
Iowa (3)
Seton Hall (10)
Kansas (4) - 2
Texas (7) - 2
Texas Tech (7) - 2
Baylor (8) - 2
Oklahoma (9) - 2
Kansas State (11) - 2
Battle 4 Atlantis, possible opponents Michigan (1), UNC (2), Gonzaga (3), Oregon (4), Seton Hall.
Plus:
* TCU is on top of his first four out list.
* There’s a good possibility Big 12/SEC Challenge opponent is tournament-level.
