Hey all - got a Firefox question. I have had this for a bit now and it's getting old. Firefox is not remembering my log in name for any website.
Like if I leave CF for 2 mins and come back and doesn't remember me.
IE still works fine, just don't like IE any ideas what setting may be messed up?

What version are you running - and do you have any of the privacy options enabled beyond the defaults?

It is probably clearing all history on close. This is a common setting in firefox.

Have the most current version.
It will forget even if I don't close. Like if I go to another website and comeback it doesn't remember.
I think all the privacy options are default, at least I don't remember chaning any of them

Does this happen for other sites?

Go to tools -> Options -> saved passwords

Tell Firefox to show your passwords - do you have the wrong one or a blank one for CF?

Yeah, happens on everysite the requires a login.
It's not that it gets a password wrong, when I use the box 'remember me' it doesn't.

PS it has all my passwords correct

Did your Firefox suffer any head trauma recently? It could be some form of amnesia.

Nothing new there.
I guess I'll have to do the command to show ALL config options and compare it to my laptop which is working fine..... just really don't want to look through all of those

You could just try uninstalling/reinstalling that should clear your settings and reset them to the default. I don't know which would be faster, but my solution would be easier. And if I remember correctly the install doesn't take too long.

Well I was trying to be the big time computer nerd and solve the problem.

I have given up and uninstalled Firefox and AVG.
Just reinstalled them both - I guess I'll find out in a few moments if it will now remember my username or not.......

Thanks for all the ideas guys. After a reinstall it looks like everything is now back to normal.

Still a bit mad I never really found out what did it, but oh well.
